Bonaire - Things To Do
Bonaire is rich in wildlife, history and magnificent scenery. Known as a world-class
diver’s destination, Bonaire is also famous for its pink flamingos, as well as over 200
different species of birds.
Bonaire Marine Park Since 1979, all the waters around Bonaire have been designated as a
marine sanctuary. Strict regulations make Bonaire's reefs and diverse marine life some of
the most prolific found anywhere in the world. The entire leeward coast is a paradise for
divers and snorkelers. The fringing reefs start right off the shore and float to a depth
of 200 feet or more.
The Washington/Slagbaai National Park This 13,500 acre wildlife sanctuary provides visitors
to the island with ecological diversity and adventure ecotourism. There are over 80 marked
sites where you can view untouched coral and abundant marine life right along the shore line.
The coastal views are spectacular, and the birds, Iguanas, and wild goats eat right from your
hand.
Dining & Nightlife
From local island cuisine to fine French and Chinese dining, Bonaire offers restaurants to suit
any palate. Popular nightspots are along the waterfront in downtown Kralendijk and at
oceanside resort locations. We strongly recommend a car rental in Bonaire and include
this cost in our package rates.
