Bonaire - Divers Paradise
Bonaire is part of the Netherland Antilles and is located in the southern Caribbean and is
50 miles north of the coast of Venezuela.
Bonaire is 24 miles long and 3 to 7 miles across with a total area of 112 square miles.
Average temperature of 82 degrees year-round provides Bonaire with one of the gentlest
climates in the Caribbean. Less than 22 inches of annual rainfall make this an arid island
with a desert like interior dotted with cactus vegetation.
Nature has blessed Bonaire with gorgeous coral reefs along its West Coast just steps from the
shore. This underwater paradise is why Bonaire is considered to be one or the world’s premier
snorkeling and diving destinations.
Dutch and Papiamento are the official languages; however, English and Spanish are spoken nearly
universally.
